Serge Gnabry is making encouraging progress in his recovery from the adductor injury he suffered in April.
The 30-year-old said in an interview published on FC Bayern's official website that he is feeling “very good” and is delighted to be training pain-free again.
“I can feel I’m making progress with every session. That’s fun. That’s why I’m really looking forward to being back on the pitch, and I’m working very hard to be able to play again as soon as possible,” Gnabry said.
"I can feel I’m getting back into top form physically. I’m keen again on doing things I didn’t think I was able to do a few weeks ago: I’ve completed my first few passing exercises again. Or lateral movements – which caused my injury. I’m incorporating these things again now. I’m getting back up to speed, I’m running faster and faster – all these things make me feel really good.”
Gnabry will be hoping to return to full fitness in time for Bayern's first competitive match of the new season, the DFL-Supercup final against Borussia Dortmund on August 22.
