After Bild reported that Mike Tullberg is likely to stay on as Borussia Dortmund's interim coach for this weekend's game against Heidenheim, Sky Germany has gone a step further and suggested that the Dane could stay in the job for the rest of the season.

The reason for this is that Borussia Dortmund's talks with their preferred candidate to replace Sahin as head coach in the short term, Niko Kovac, have hit a stumbling block.

According to the report, the Black and Yellows want Kovac to take charge until the summer, at which point they would be able to move on to another coach who is currently unavailable, such as Sebastian Hoeness or Roger Schmidt.

However, with Kovac demanding a contract until at least 2026, it's unclear at the moment whether the parties will be able to overcome that hurdle.

Should the negotiations fail in the end, there is a chance of Tullberg remaining as interim coach for the remainder of the campaign, according to Sky.
