Elvedi open to summer transfer

Nico Elvedi could leave Borussia Mönchengladbach at the end of the season if the right offer comes his way.

In recent years, Nico Elvedi has been consistently linked with a move away from Borussia Mönchengladbach, but he has so far remained with Die Fohlen.

That could change this summer, however, with the 28-year-old centre-back admitting he's open to a move away if it's the right fit.

"It will probably be a talking point again after this season," Elvedi told SRF.

“I've said that openly. If something comes up, I'll look at it. But it has to be a step forward, a step up from Gladbach.”

Elvedi will have spent 10 years at Gladbach this summer and is under contract until 2027.

His centre-back partner Ko Itakura is also being linked with a move away.
