19-year-old Said El Mala has become one of the most talked-about players in the Bundesliga following a string of impressive performances for 1. FC Köln.

It didn’t take long for the youngster to be linked with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, and now several top clubs from abroad – including Chelsea, Inter and Paris Saint-Germain – have reportedly joined the race.

Initially, it was suggested that a transfer fee of around €30–40 million would be enough to convince Köln to sell next summer. However, growing interest appears to have raised the club’s expectations.

According to Bild, the Billy Goats would now demand a fee of €50–60 million for the attacker next summer, while a January move is effectively ruled out.

El Mala is under contract until 2030, and his deal does not include a release clause.
