A night to remember for 17-year-old Bayern Munich prodigy Lennart Karl: first Champions League start, first goal for Bayern Munich and instantly the Man of the Match.

Here are his thoughts and comments directly after the victory:

“I’m very happy about the goal and my performance. Playing with the lads is a lot of fun, and I feel I can learn so much. Being named Man of the Match is amazing, but I won’t stop - I’ll keep working hard and I'll keep learning.”

He also spoke about trusting himself in key moments and staying confident: “I’m not afraid of my opponent and I trust myself in situations like the one before my goal. Now that I’ve scored my first goal, a lot of people will be watching, but I’ll keep going with confidence.”

The young forward’s display highlighted his growing maturity and self-belief, giving Bayern fans plenty of reason to be excited about his development this season.
