Mainz show interest in Sheraldo Becker to replace injured attacker
Sheraldo Becker could return to the Bundesliga, with a surprise deadline day deal possibly happening.

Mainz look to further bolster their attack as Christian Heidel and Niko Bungert are searching for Benedict Hollerbach’s replacement. The summer signing suffered a serious injury early in the win over St. Pauli on Saturday.
One player linked with the club on a late transfer is Sheraldo Becker. The Suriname international had a successful spell under current Mainz coach Urs Fischer at Union Berlin before he left the Bundesliga side for Real Sociedad.
He joined Osasuna in the summer, but he hasn’t started any games in LaLiga this term.
Mainz recently won back-to-back games for the first time this season, with January signings Phillip Tietz, Silas, and Stefan Posch already playing big roles at the club.
