Gladbach's Algerian left-back Ramy Bensebaini has remained in North Rhine Westphalia despite a seemingly endless barrage of transfer rumors, but Germany's Sport Bild presently reports that Juventus Turin will court the 27-year-old heavily in the coming extended transfer window.

Bundesliga watchers know full well that any transfer rumor involving Gladbach's Ramy Bensebaini must be taken with the proverbial grain of salt. After a move to Dortmund collapsed last summer, the Algerian international was linked with moves to a handful of clubs, none of which came close to materializing.

Germany's main sporting tabloid nevertheless reports that the current left-back situation at Juventus Turin means has led La Vecchia Signora making Bensebaini a primary target during the coming transfer window. The fallen Italian giants desperately need someone to compete with the inconsistent Alex Sandro and Mattia De Sciglio at the position.

Bensebaini remains one the valuable Gladbach players sitting on an expiring contract. Despite the fact that the Bundesliga club has every intention of extending his deal, a long courtship process over the (thanks to the World Cup) extended transfer window may leave the BMG prepared to cash in.

Former Hertha prospect Luca Netz can take over for Bensebaini, and has complimented fellow youngster Joe Scally well on several occasions during which the two were deployed together. Moreover, there does exist a recent precedent of Gladbach doing business with Juventus in the mid-season window. Denis Zakaria (also on an expiring contract) was sold to the Serie A side last January.

Bensebaini maintains an estimated €17 million market value in the latest transfermarkt listings. While this is down from a peak of €22 million in the latter half of 2021, the foals could still conceivably fetch something far above €17 million if the player continues his fine start to the current season.
