Bayern München maintained their perfect start to the Champions League with a 4-2 away victory over Viktoria Plzen.

Since Barcelona and Inter drew 2-2 at Camp Nou in the other game of the group, Bayern are through to the last 16 of the tournament after tonight's win at Doosan Arena.

Despite being without several key players, including Manuel Neuer, Matthijs de Ligt and Jamal Musiala, Bayern were never in trouble tonight.

In what was a very one-sided first half, Sadio Mané opened the scoring with 10 minutes on the clock, lifting the ball into the net from close range after a nice one-two with Leon Goretzka.

Thomas Müller doubled the lead four minutes later, slotting in from an unmarked position following a cross from Kingsley Coman. Müller then set up Goretzka for the third before being forced off with an injury, with Mathys Thel coming on instead.

With 35 minutes played, Goretzka got his second of the evening, calmly clipping the ball over the goalkeeper after latching on to a pass from Leroy Sané.

Like last week, Plzen weren't able to cope with Bayern's quick combination play and ruthless finishing. At the same time, they were unable to capitalize on some big defensive errors made by Bayern through the first half.

However, the hosts did eventually manage to pull one back in a second half that saw Bayern take their foot off the gas, with Adam Vlkanova blasting in a consolation goal with 62 minutes played.

Second-half substitute Jan Kliment later added a second for Plzen, but the outcome was never in doubt.
