Fantasy Bundesliga: Must-haves and differentials for Matchday 15
Ahead of Matchday 15, we have highlighted a must-have player (M) and a differential pick (D) from each game that you should consider for your Fantasy Bundesliga team.
Borussia Mönchengladbach v. Borussia Dortmund:
M: Nico Schlotterbeck, Defender (BVB, 13M, 17%) - Even coming off a two-goal drubbing from Wolfsburg, Schlotterbeck was still able to pick up nine Fantasy points in the loss. He was also active in front of goal, taking three shots for the first time all year. He is looking better and better as each day passes in Dortmund.
D: Kouadio Koné, Midfielder (BMG, 10.5M, 2%) - In just the last two matches, Koné has taken three shots and grabbed an assist as well. A huge improvement from his previous 11 games where he had taken only five shots with zero assists. As Gladbach work through some injuries, Koné will be expected to pick up some slack.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen v. VfB Stuttgart:
M: Moussa Diaby, Forward (B04, 13.9M, 5%) - Diaby has scored three goals in his last two matches to go along with double digit Fantasy points in both. With those games resulting in wins as well, Leverkusen look to be turning the tide of misfortune they experienced earlier in the season.
D: Serhou Guirassy, Forward (VFB, 8.6M, 0%) - Guirassy has scored double digit Fantasy points in two of his last three games, including a huge 21 point haul on matchday 12. He has solidified himself in the starting 11 and should expect more great performances to come.
TSG Hoffenheim v. VfL Wolfsburg:
M: Christoph Baumgartner, Midfielder (TSG, 13.4M, 4%) - Baumgartner finally ended his goal drought after an onslaught of attempts, 28 shots over the last 11 games. He has otherwise been playing very well and should continue to be a strong Fantasy points provider.
D: Jakub Kamiński, Midfielder (WOB, 8.6M, 0%) - Kamiński has secured a starting role in each of the last seven games after only starting two in the first seven. In the last two games against Dortmund and Mainz, he has grabbed an assist while also taking four shot attempts.
FC Augsburg v. VfL Bochum 1848:
M: Florian Niederlechner, Forward (FCA, 7.2M, 0%) - Both these teams are full of differential picks with only the goalkeepers having any substantial ownership. Niederlechner has been great lately. He has started the last five games and has four goals and one assist over that time frame. Oddly enough, all his goals and assists have been away from home.
D: Philipp Hofmann, Forward (BOC, 5M, 0%) - Bochum grabbed an absolute must win last matchday with Hofmann being the man to score the eventual game winner. He does have two goals in his last four matches. When he does score, Bochum tends to find a way to win.
Hertha BSC v. 1. FC Köln:
M: Jonas Hector, Defender (KOE, 10M, 9%) - Hector made the start last matchday after missing the previous two due to injury. It was definitely a much better game from him compared to the performances he put up leading to his break. He was active in the attack, taking two shots in the match. The previous four games before injury, he took zero.
D: Dodi Lukébakio, Forward (BSC, 9M, 2%) - Lukébakio has been one of the few bright spots for Hertha this year, contributing a total of seven goals and one assist so far. He has scored in each of the last two matches as well, making him one of the more in-form strikers at the moment.
SV Werder Bremen v. RB Leipzig:
M: Willi Orban, Defender (RBL, 12.1M, 8%) - One of the premier defenders in the league right now, Orban has one of the rare qualities that most centerbacks do not, goal scoring. He hasn't bagged one in four games but is always on the prowl. Leipzig could go into the break in second place if some other games go their way.
D: André Silva, Forward (RBL, 13.1M, 0%) - Silva is starting to find his form with the squad after a terrible start to the season. He grabbed his first Bundesliga goal of the season back on matchday 11 but has really been tearing it up in the Champions League, scoring a team high three in the competition. Silva will look to end the Hinrunde on a high.
FC Schalke 04 v. FC Bayern München:
M: Serge Gnabry, Forward (FCB, 15.3M, 5%) - Gnabry has scored double digit Fantasy points in four of his last five games and is also one of the least owned players at 5%. He not only is a must-have player but a great differential pick as well compared to his teammates.
D: Noussair Mazraoui, Defender (FCB, 11.1M, 3%) - Mazraoui has started the last three games and looks poised to make his fourth this weekend. He also grabbed two assists in the win against Bremen last matchday. A strong performance could do wonders mentally as he leaves for the World Cup with Morocco after the match.
1. FSV Mainz 05 v. Eintracht Frankfurt:
M: Daichi Kamada, Midfielder (SGE, 12M, 14%) - Kamada grabbed an assist last matchday against Hoffenheim to bring his total to three so far on the season. It has been a great year so far for Kamada. In just his last seven games between Bundesliga and the Champions League, Kamda has six goals and one assist. Truly a player hitting his top form.
D: Marcus Ingvartsen, Forward (M05, 4.7M, 0%) - After scoring a goal in four straight games, Ingvartsen has gone goalless in his last two. It is not due to a lack of trying, as he has taken eight shots in the last two games. If anyone at the moment for Mainz is going to grab one against an in-form Frankfurt, it is Marcus.
Sport-Club Freiburg v. 1. FC Union Berlin:
M: Michael Gregoritsch, Forward (SCF, 9.4M, 7%) - A fantastic match to end the year, both teams should come out flying as they both could end the year in second place, a truly amazing accomplishment for either squad. Freiburg playing at home should give them the advantage and Gregoritsch will be at the end of many crosses and attempts.
D: Kevin Behrens, Forward (FCU, 4.4M, 0%) - Behrens secured the start over Jordan last matchday and made the most of it by scoring a goal in the 22nd minute. That does give him two goals in his last three matches which should earn him the start again against Freiburg.
