Bobic backs Schwarz after Hertha's embarrassing defeat to Wolfsburg
Speaking after Hertha's 0-5 thrashing against Wolfsburg, club boss Fredi Bobic didn't hold back in his criticism, but underlined that Sandro Schwarz's job is safe.
Hertha BSC managing director Fredi Bobic has backed head coach Sandro Schwarz to stay in charge following lat night's underwhelming 0-5 defeat at home against VfL Wolfsburg.
Having lost five of their last six Bundesliga games, Hertha are very much part of the relegation scrap, sitting 17th in the table. Nevertheless, Bobic insists he's not thinking about finding a new coach.
"For me, he is not even remotely up for discussion," Bobic underlined in an interview with Sky, naming the "really inspiring games at times" and the mood in the team as reasons to hold on to the former Mainz coach.
However, Bobic didn't mince his words when describing Hertha's performance last night.
"The first half was the worst I have seen this season, and the players know that too," he fumed in a post-match interview.
"We simply ran around without our heads."
