Several German media outlets reported earlier today that Bayern Munich have decided against signing Jerome Boateng after allowing him to train with the squad recently.

However, speaking ahead of Sunday's Bundesliga clash with Freiburg, Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel denied that a decision has been made on the 35-year-old.

"He has behaved well and trained well. We will clarify the situation today with all the parties involved and then make an announcement. No decision has been made, despite reports to the contrary. We'll clarify that internally with everyone involved," Tuchel told reporters.

Bayern's decision to let Boateng train with the team has sparked controversy, with the 35-year-old currently awaiting trial in a domestic violence case.

However, Tuchel denied that this will play a role in Bayern's decision, saying the club will focus solely on the sporting side of things.

"We, as a football club, and I, as the person responsible for the sporting side of things, want football decisions to be just football decisions, without prejudice and other things. That will not change, we will make a decision this afternoon," Tuchel stressed.
