Agent: Leipzig 'the ideal place' for Patrik Schick

Reports suggesting that RB Leipzig might not be able to afford to sign AS Roma loanee Patrik Schick on a permanent deal shouldn't be trusted, claims the striker's agent, Pavel Paska.
Patrik Schick's agent, Pavel Paska, says his client will be looking to stay at RB Leipzig beyond this season.

It has been reported that Leipzig might not be able to afford signing the AS Roma loanee on a permanent deal due to financial impact of the coronavirus.

But Paska is confident 'Die Roten Bullen' can still trigger the €29 million release clause in the striker's loan deal.

"It's absolutely not true that Leipzig don't have the money. German clubs are the healthiest economically in Europe. Everything else is falling apart, except for the Premier League," Paska said in an interview with iSport.cz via Football Italia.

"Money is not a topic at all. In Italy they wrote that Patrick could return and that they can't wait to embrace him, but Leipzig have an option for a permanent deal. It's a big deal, we'll see. When you sell something and ask for money, sometimes you have to lower your price. We are calm. Leipzig are the ideal destination for Patrik," he added.

Following his summer move from AS Roma, Schick has made 19 appearances in a Leipzig shirt with seven goals and three assists to his name.
