The former Augsburg coach could make a swift return to the Bundesliga's dugouts if the Hessen club decide to appoint him as their new coach.

According to Sky Germany, Sandro Wagner is among the names listed internally as Eintracht Frankfurt continue to search for a new coach.

Wagner has been available since his rather hasty dismissal from fellow Bundesliga side FC Augsburg at the start of December.

"But there's nothing more to it [the story] at the moment," explained the pay-TV program 'Transfer Update – the Show' continued.

In other words: While Wagner's potential move is being discussed, it's unlikely to become a serious prospect under normal circumstances.

So far, only the lead regarding Marco Rose has materialized, but there are apparently internal doubts about the suitability of the 49-year-old.

Furthermore, he would also cost a transfer fee of one million euros, as he is still under contract with RB Leipzig.
