Bayern Munich's Luis Díaz has been suspended for three Uefa Champions League matches, Sky Germany and multiple sources have confirmed.

UEFA CEDB ruled against the Bayern winger for “serious rough play” during the match vs. Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, 4 November

Approaching half-time in the French capital, the Colombian was shown a straight red card for his foul on Achraf Hakimi.

There was no signal of malicious intent from the 28-year-old, rather the scissor-like tackle from behind proved quite dangerous.

Initially, Díaz was yellow-carded for the incident but a VAR review saw Italian referee Maurizio Mariani reach for his red card instead.

PSG confirmed shortly after the game that former Dortmund full-back Hakimi would miss six weeks with a “severe ankle sprain”.
