Borussia Dortmund have made an initial offer for 20-year-old FC Alverca centre-back Bastien Meupiyou, according to transfer journalist Sebastião Sousa-Pinto and Portuguese sports newspaper Record.
The Black and Yellows are understood to be offering a fixed fee of €12 million plus up to €5 million in bonus payments to the Portuguese Primeira Liga side.
Wolverhampton Wanderers hold a buyback clause for the 20-year-old Frenchman but are reportedly not planning to activate it. Instead, Wolves are said to be content to receive half of the transfer fee through a 50 percent sell-on clause agreed when Meupiyou joined Alverca from the English club last summer.
Dortmund are said to have monitored Meupiyou since January. He made 32 appearances across all competitions for Alverca during the 2025/26 season.
He could become BVB's second centre-back signing of the summer, with Joane Gadou having already arrived from RB Salzburg.
