Illness and ill-prepared – Reports suggest Kompany left frustrated by Boey

Despite illnesses, the Bayern boss is said to be annoyed by an incident involving the French fullback in early November.

Sacha Boey is currently sidelined with a severe gastrointestinal problem, but that's only part of the story according to BILD's sources.

Even before the illness, Vincent Kompany wasn't entirely happy with Boey, and an incident took place on November 8 against Union Berlin.

Kompany has a rule, 'Be Ready', meaning he wants his players to be immediately ready with their shinpads, boots and tapes when he wants to make a substitution.

Boey was supposed to be subbed on in that game, but he hadn't yet tied his boots or put on his shinpads – and so Kompany left him out and cancelled the substitution.

After the game, the coach then held a face-to-face conversation with Boey and really gave him a 'dressing-down' about the incident.

Kompany deliberately doesn't do that in front of the team because he doesn't want to embarrass a player.

Nevertheless, that doesn't mean Boey has been completely written off. Kompany could still use him once he gets fit.

The Bavarians clearly have a crisis at full-back after Konrad Laimer's recent calf injury and Josip Stanisic who is also sidelined for now.
