Former Barcelona academy man Oscar Mingueza is apparently one of RB Leipzig's January transfer targets. The struggling German Red Bulls are reportedly ready to shell out serious money for upgrades in the coming transfer window. An expensive push for former Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani could be paired with a €20 million offer for the 25-year-old Spanish defender/midfielder.

Online sports portal "Relevo" serves as the source of the rumor. Mingueza presently plies his trade at La Liga side Celta Vigo after Barça allowed him to depart on a free in the summer of 2022. At that time, the player's estimated market worth was only €7 million. Over the past two-plus years, Mingueza has been able to pump his estimated worth back up to €12 million in the latest transfermarkt update.

Leipzig must prepare an oversized offer as - it is reported by Germany's home transfermarkt site - the Catalans have somehow secured a 50 percent re-sale clause despite the fact that Mingueza left on a free. The Spaniard, who can play in central defense at as a fullback in addition to being trained for the midfield, would be a decent fit for the injury-hit Saxons.
