Leverkusen in advanced talks to re-sign Moussa Diaby

Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly looking to bring Moussa Diaby back to the BayArena.

Three years after leaving Bayer Leverkusen for Aston Villa, Moussa Diaby could be on his way back to the Bundesliga club.

According to Bild, Bayer Leverkusen managing director for sport Simon Rolfes is in advanced talks with the French winger, who currently plays for Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad.

Diaby is reportedly keen on returning to Leverkusen and is said to be available for a fee of less than €30 million.

He is also reportedly willing to forgo a significant portion of his salary – believed to exceed €10 million net per year – to facilitate the move.

Diaby scored 49 goals and provided 47 assists in 172 appearances for Leverkusen between 2019 and 2023.
