Stuttgart updates: Rumors continue to churn on three outs, Nartey and Coulibaly to miss start of the season

Three outgoing transfers from VfB Stuttgart look to be finalized soon, yet could potentially be held up courtesy of unfortunate injury news emerging out of the Swabian camp on Thursday.
The latest news on outgoing transfers involving Baden-Württemberg's capital city side holds that negotiations with EPL side Nottingham Forest for the sale of Belgian talent Orel Mangala continue to proceed. Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that the ongoing talks have progressed to the point of a concrete transfer fee. The player's ultimate decision is all that awaits.

Regarding two Germany U21 internationals the club wishes to loan out, an arrangement to send Roberto Massimo to Fortuna Düsseldorf appears to have fallen through. German footballing magazine Kicker now reports that the 21-year-old will instead head to the second Portuguese division for a campaign spent playing for Viseu FC.

In the case 22-year-old attacking midfielder Mateo Klimowicz, the trail linking Diego Klimowicz's son to an MLS move has gone cold. Kicker now reports that Sven Mislintat and the VfB administrative team are working on a loan out to Spanish mid-table side Elche club de Futbol.

Amidst all of these rumors, VfB confirmed two medium-term injuries on Thursday evening. Most unfortunately, it appears as if the pre-season injury-bug that derailed Stuttgart's campaign last year is back yet again.

French attacker Tanguy Coulibaly and Danish striker Nikolas Nartey will both miss the start of the season with injuries that shall keep them out four to six weeks. Nartey has torn a ligament in his left ankle. Coulibaly incurred a toe injury.

Though neither injury requires surgery, the club noted that neither player would be expected back until the end of next month.
