Hudson-Odoi to Leverkusen links surface

For the "nth" time, rumors linking Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi to the Bundesliga are cropping up.

This time, however, German footballing magazine Kicker reports that Bayer Leverkusen are hoping to procure the attacker on loan.

Having never truly found an adequate way of compensating for Leon Bailey's departure, Germany's red company team are now facing a crisis on the right-flank following injuries to attackers Amine Adli and Karim Berllarabi. B04 trainer Gerardo Seoane - in a desperate attempt to shore up his attack during the second half of Saturday's loss to Hoffenheim - actually tried placing Jeremie Frimpong on the right opposite Moussa Diaby.

It is such that, according to German footballing magazine Kicker, Leverkusen may be the next destination for 21-year-old English winger Callum Hudson-Odoi. Such a move would make sense for both the Chelsea attacker and die Werkself. The Bundesliga club could offer the thrice-capped England international an immediate spot in the starting XI.

Leverkusen sporting CEO Simon Rolfes did not necessarily rule out procuring additional players this transfer window when giving a post-match-interview after Saturday's loss. For his part, Seoane ducked all questions on his tactics and how he might fix the attack during a Tuesday presser.

The Swiss trainer actually berated journalists for asking him about them and stressed that he was re-teaching his team how to properly contest 50-50s and ground challenges. Seoane spoke of "physicality, energy, and putting one's body on the line."
