Bild's head of football Christian Falk has played down reports linking Bayern Munich with Chelsea duo Mason Mount and Kai Havertz.

Mount and Havertz have been named as possible transfer targets for Bayern following the appointment of former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel as their new coach.

However, Falk claims that Bayern are not interested in either of them at this stage.

"Mason Mount was not a topic in the talks between Thomas Tuchel and FC Bayern. The new coach wants to get an overview of the squad first. The midfield in particular is more than adequate. For further transfers, players would have to be sold," tweeted Falk.

Kai Havertz, on the other hand, was mentioned in the first talks between Tuchel and the Bayern bosses, according to Falk.

But they apparently agreed that there is "no place" for the former Bayer Leverkusen attacker in the current Bayern squad.
