Official: Brighton striker Jürgen Locadia joins Hoffenheim on loan

Jürgen Locadia has completed a move to Hoffenheim on loan.

Hoffenheim have announced the signing of Jürgen Locadia on a season-long loan deal from Brighton & Hove Albion.

"Jürgen is a physically strong striker with an enormous presence in front of the opponent's goal. He's an excellent finisher - with both is right and left foot," said Hoffenheim boss Alexander Rosen in an interview on the club's website.

Since joining Brighton from PSV Eindhoven in 2018, Locadia has often been used on the wing, but Rosen says the 25-year-old is expected to play up top from Hoffenheim.

"He has often been used in midfield, but that's not where he can get the most out of his qualities from our point of view," he said.

Locadia has scored six goals in 43 appearances for Brighton.
