With Matchday 28 behind us, Bulinews Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has selected his Team of the Week, set up in a 4-1-4-1 formation.
 

Goalkeeper:

Nikola Vasilj, St. Pauli

The Bosnia & Herzegovina international produced a remarkable display between the posts, making eight saves to help secure St. Pauli a hard-earned point away at Union Berlin.

 

Defenders:

Tom Bischof, FC Bayern

Deployed at left-back, Bischof was key for FC Bayern, scoring twice from distance as the champions mounted a remarkable comeback from 0-2 down to beat Freiburg 3-2.

 

Patrick Mainka, Heidenheim

A commanding presence in Heidenheim’s defence, Mainka played a key role in their draw at Mönchengladbach, winning nine duels and adding a goal to cap off his performance

 

Keven Schlotterbeck, Augsburg

Rock-solid at the back, Schlotterbeck dominated defensively, winning seven of nine ground duels while maintaining excellent composure in possession with a 92% pass completion rate.

 

Alex Grimaldo, Bayer Leverkusen

Grimaldo starred in Leverkusen-s thrilling 6-3 win over Wolfsburg, scoring twice and providing four key passes.

 

Midfielders:

Exequiel Palacios, Bayer Leverkusen

A strong presence in midfield, Palacios dictated play with an 89% pass accuracy, contributed an assist and won three ground duels.

 

Arnaud Kalimuendo, Eintracht Frankfurt

A lively attacking outlet in Frankfurt’s 2–2 draw with Köln, Kalimuendo found the net, completed 97% of his passes and completed two dribbles.

 

Jakub Kaminski, 1. FC Köln

With Köln 2-0 down, Kamiński inspired a comeback against Frankfurt, unleashing seven shots and finding the net in his side's 2-2 draw.

 

Ibrahim Maza, Bayer Leverkusen

A constant menace going forward, Maza won a penalty, made three key passes and got on the scoresheet.

 

Antonio Nusa, RB Leipzig

Electric on the wing, Nusa scored a superb goal and completed two dribbles in an eye-catching performance.

 

Strikers:

Philip Tietz, Mainz

Tietz proved decisive for Mainz, scoring both goals in their 2-1 victory over Hoffenheim with a clinical brace.
