Julian Brandt: We want to go past Bayern with all our might

Julian Brandt has outlined his ambitions for the remainder of the season.
Julian Brandt says Borussia Dortmund will do everything in their power to close the four-point gap to league leaders Bayern München in the race for the Bundesliga title.

In a video posted by Bundesliga International, the 24-year-old outlines his ambitions for the rest of the season.

"Being only a few points behind first place, we will have to try and get past [Bayern] with all our might," Brandt said and added:

"In the end, it depends on how strong we are mentally. We have already seen how much quality the team have. How you would deal with this kind of situation is the real question. Who are ready to take everything on?

"Those who are will be the ones who have the most points at the end. To win the league like this would be unique," the BVB midfielder concluded.

Brandt's teammate Emre Can recently looked ahead to Dortmund's clash with Bayern at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday, telling Sport Bild:

"I switched to BVB because I want to win titles, not because I wanted to consolidate the second place behind Bayern. That's why we need to win next week."
