Kenan Karaman has put Fortuna Düsseldorf under pressure to let him leave the club ahead of the 2020/21 season.

The 26-year-old has one year left on his deal with Fortuna, who were relegated from the Bundesliga last season, and believes the club have to lower their demands if they want to cash in on him.

"My contract expires in 2021. I will be able to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season, but some teams are already interested and have contacted my agent," Karaman told Turkish news agency DHA and added:

"I can't say that Düsseldorf have helped me so far. To be honest, they don't have very logical expectations for a transfer. My chances of a transfer can only improve if they bring their demands to a reasonable level, because I don't believe they are in line with the market conditions.

"All I can say is that my deal expires in nine months, and I can meet with other clubs and sign a new contract in three months' time."

The Turkish international scored six goals in 20 Bundesliga games for Fortuna last season.
