Rune Jarstein has signed a contract extension with Hertha BSC.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper's new contract runs until 2023.

"Rune is an important part of our team, not just on the pitch but off it too. He is hugely important for us with his experience and standing in the team, so we are happy to have him stay with us," commented Hertha sporting director Arne Friedrich.

Jarstein has played for Hertha since January 2014, making 179 appearances.
