Dynamo Dresden secured their third win in four games with a battling victory at home against Kaiserslautern. Vincent Vermeij scored the only goal of the game for his second in as many home games.

The former Fortuna Düsseldorf striker was at the right place to poke home Alexander Rossipal’s cutback from the left side. The visitors finished the game with no attempts on target as they have now gone three games without a goal.

Torsten Lieberknecht’s side will also miss Fabian Kunze and Paul Joly in their last home game against Arminia Bielefeld because of accumulated yellow cards. The Bielefeld-born midfielder saw his 15th yellow card of the campaign and his 45th in only four seasons.

However, Kaiserslautern have already secured safety, while their promotion hopes ended last month. Meanwhile, Thomas Stamm’s men will spend another matchday outside the bottom three. A point against Eintracht Braunschweig could be enough to keep them in the league in their debut season.
