In an interview with Sky Germany, Tom Bischof gave insights into how he has been influenced by Vincent Kompany at FC Bayern Munich.

“I've learned an incredible amount from him giving me the confidence to play left-back, right-back,” the midfielder explained.

“And he simply makes me feel like he trusts me. I think that gives a player, and me in particular, a tremendous amount,” he added.

"In the beginning [of my time at Bayern Munich], he helped me immensely, coaching me a lot with every single move.

“Now I'm realizing just how much that's brought me. I've never had a season where I've learned as much as I have under him,” Bischof said.

Despite being largely limited to substitute appearances, Bischof still played 26 Bundesliga games, providing 3 goals and 2 assists.
