Cameron Puertas from Al-Qadsiah is the last signing for Werder Bremen, but there is still some business left in terms of outgoings. The Green and Whites are expecting the departures of Dikeni Salifou, Skelly Alvero and Julián Malatini.

The window will still be open for a few more days in some countries. Bremen’s managing director Clemens Fritz talked about negotiations with clubs for the three players out of Horst Stefffen’s project. “We continue to be in discussions. We’re working on various personal details, and it’s possible that something is happening.”

Salifou is a candidate for sale, while Bremen are working on loan deals for Alvero and Malatini. The 22-year-old midfielder spent last season on loan at SK Austria Klagenfurt, but the Austrian club suffered relegation from Bundesliga. Steffen has no intention to use Salifou this season.

The situation is different for the two players. Alvero played in the 3-3 draw with Bayer Leverkusen, but Bremen are tempted by loan offers from Belgium. The 2.02m central midfielder has only played 19 times for Bremen since joining the club from Lyon at the start of 2024.

Malatini played the entire 90 minutes in Bremen’s opening league fixture away at Frankfurt. Although he missed last weekend’s game due to an injury, the Argentine defender is also a candidate for a late departure.
