Borussia Dortmund are prioritising the search for an attacking midfielder who can also play on the wing, according to Funke Sport.

The player should be young and capable of further development and it is rumoured that a loan with a subsequent option is also possible.

One of the trails on BVB's transfer list leads to Manchester City, where two interesting candidates in James McAtee and Oscar Bobb.

However, both attacking players do not appear to be in Die Schwarzgelben's priority this summer.

Arsenal's Ethan Nwaneri is said to have been highly favoured internally. However, he has probably slipped through BVB's fingers.

Instead of a possible move to Dortmund, the 18-year-old Englishman is fully expected to extend his relationship with the Gunners.

Dortmund look intent to see the first dominoes fall and then strike on the market, similar to the case of Carney Chukwuemeka.
