Düsseldorf set to sign Tanaka, working on second deal for Olivier

Düsseldorf have signed the versatile Japanese midfielder and are working tomorrow complete a deal for the young VfB Stuttgart defender.

Satoshi Tanaka to Fortuna Düsseldorf can be considered a done deal, according to the latest transfer update from Florian Plettenberg.

Sky Germany can confirm a full agreement has been reached with Sanfrecce Hiroshima and his medical has been completed.

Tanaka has signed a contract until 2030, with Düsseldorf set to pay around €1million for the midfielder who can also play as a full-back.

An official announcement is expected soon from the 2. Bundesliga side – their first exciting signing by the new club boss, Sven Mislintat.

Düsseldorf are also working intensively on a permanent signing of Christopher Olivier, with Mislintat against a loan move. 

He is under contract with VfB Stuttgart until 2028 and both clubs are in contact. Personal terms are not an issue for the 19-year-old.
