Eintracht Frankfurt are said to be working on a deal to bring Arnaud Kalimuendo back from Nottingham Forest.
Kalimuendo impressed during his loan spell at Eintracht in the second half of last season, and Die Adler have since been keen to re-sign him.
An agreement with Nottingham Forest has been difficult to reach, but, as reported by both Bild and Kicker, negotiations between the two clubs over the 24-year-old are now beginning to take shape.
According to Bild, the deal is likely to be a loan with an option to buy or potentially even an obligation to buy, although several details still need to be resolved.
The report suggests that Kalimuendo has become Eintracht's sole transfer focus for the time being, with the club negotiating intensively with Nottingham Forest.
Kalimuendo scored six goals in 14 appearances for Eintracht during the second half of last season.
