Borussia Mönchengladbach interim coach Eugen Polanski has confirmed that he will remain in charge until further notice.

Polanski took over on an interim basis following the sacking of Gerardo Seoane last month.

So far, he has managed three games and will also lead Die Fohlen into their next match against 1. FC Union Berlin after the international break.

“I’m receiving very good support from everyone from the management, the coaching staff, and the team. I’ve also already received the signal that I can continue for now,” Polanski said after Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Freiburg.

“I’m looking forward to the Union game. There’s plenty to do. And if it ends up being a longer stint, I’m happy with that too.”

The situation at Gladbach remains unsettled, as the club continues the search for a replacement for head of sport Roland Virkus, who recently resigned.

“In the end, of course, the new head of sport will decide who the coach is,” Polanski said.
