Gladbach reportedly in agreement with Stöger
After it was first reported on Monday that Gladbach had opened talks to sign Kevin Stöger from Bochum, Sky Germany goes a step further and claims that the Fohlen have agreed personal terms with the 30-year-old.
According to the German media outlet, Gladbach have offered Stöger a contract until 2027, with an option to extend for a further year.
As the 30-year-old midfielder's contract with Bochum is due to expire, Gladbach can pick him up on a free transfer.
Die Fohlen were not without competition in the race to sign the central midfielder, who had reportedly also attracted interest from Union Berlin, among others.
Stöger played a key role in helping Bochum avoid relegation, scoring eight goals and laying on 13 assists in 35 games in all competitions.
In Bochum's relegation playoff victory over Fortuna Düsseldorf, which was sealed on penalties, the Austrian midfield maestro scored once and provided two assists.
