Hamburger SV's Emir Sahiti will join Israeli first division club Maccabi Tel Aviv on loan until the end of the season.

According to BILD, the Bundesliga club has included an option for Maccabi to buy the 27-year-old for €500,000.

The Kosovan player joined HSV from Hajduk Split in 2024 for €1.2million but failed to establish himself in the first team.

"Emir hasn't received the playing time he wanted this season, so a loan is a sensible solution for everyone involved.

"He is a popular figure within the team and has behaved impeccably every day despite his current situation. He has played a part in our being in the Bundesliga.

"We wish him all the best during his time in Israel and will be closely monitoring his progress during the loan," said HSV sporting director Claus Costa.
