Juventus have concluded a deal for Denis Zakaria with Borussia Mönchengladbach, the German Bundesliga side have confirmed.

The 25-year-old, whose deal with Gladbach was due to expire in the summer, has signed a contract until 2026 with the Italians.

"This transfer to Juventus has been worked on intensively in recent weeks and Denis has had an important role in this," said Gladbach vice president Rainer Bonhof.

"He told us openly that he wanted to transfer and he also clearly expressed that he wanted to make it possible for us to receive a transfer fee for him. In the end, from our point of view, the financial conditions were right, so we agreed to the transfer.

"Denis deserves our thanks for his open dealings with us, as well as for his achievements in the Borussia jersey over the past four and a half years. We wish him all the best and much success in his future endeavors."

According to reports, Gladbach will receive €5 million plus a potential €3 million in performance-related bonuses.

Zakaria made 146 appearances for Gladbach with 11 goals and eight assists to his name.
