Bobic expects to present the new Hertha coach "in the next few days"

Fredi Bobic has revealed that Hertha BSC expect to reveal their new coach in the near future.
Hertha BSC managing director for sport Fredi Bobic has revealed that the German capital club are closing in on appointing their new head coach.

'Die Alte Dame' seem to have identified a replacement for Felix Magath, who took over on an interim basis in March and steered the club to survival.

"I am very, very far along with the talks. We can certainly present the new coach in the next few days," Bobic said on Tuesday, according to DPA.

"What he has to bring to the table is clear: Personality and a fire burning for Hertha," added the Hertha chief.

"I want to see aggressive football and a team that moves forward instead of backwards. Our playing style has been characterized by passivity."

The favorite to take over is former Mainz coach Sandro Schwarz, who is currently working for Dynamo Moscow.

Schwarz initially remained in Russia despite the war in Ukraine and will lead his team into the cup final against Spartak Moscow this Sunday. After that, a move to Berlin could be on the cards.
