Despite only finishing sixth in the Turkish Süper Lig last season, Besiktas is tempting Amiri, but an agreement between the clubs is not yet in sight, as the initial bid was well below Leverkusen's asking price, per the report.
'Die Werkself' are hoping to recoup the €9 million they paid to sign Amiri from Hoffenheim in 2019, but Besiktas' first offer is said to have been in the single-digit million euro range.
Amiri came on in the 78th minute as Bayer Leverkusen fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund last week.
In a post-match interview, Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane acknowledged that the midfielder's future may lie elsewhere.
"He knows that we may not be able to give him the playing time he wants in his position. We already communicated that last season," said Seoane.
"If an opportunity presents itself, and it convinces him, I can imagine him taking it."
