Mislintat says Stuttgart want to keep Sosa amid links to Newcastle, Atalanta and Inter

With Inter, Newcastle and Atlanta said to be interested, Borna Sosa will have a chance to further impress his suitors at the World Cup. Stuttgart, however, are not interested in letting him go in the middle of the season.
VfB Stuttgart are keen to keep Borna Sosa beyond January amid reported interest from Inter, Atalanta and Newcastle United.

"Playing at the World Cup is a huge opportunity to put your abilities on display. But my clear wish is that Borna stays," Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat told Bild about the left-back, who is in Croatia's World Cup squad.

"He is an absolute quality player. It would be hard enough to replace him in the summer. A transfer in the winter would not be good. That would weaken us. It's very important that we maintain the quality in the squad. Then we are strong enough to stay in the league."

Sosa has provided eight assists in 13 games for Stuttgart this season.
