Sky Report: Tuchel convinces Walker to join Bayern, deal appears likely

Florian Plettenberg of Sky's German outfit reports that the move of English fullback Kyle Walker to German champions FC Bayern München appears likely to materialize.
FC Bayern München's courtship of Man City star Kyle Walker looks increasingly likely to yield a successful deal. Shortly after rumors of the move began to emerge late Friday, German broadcaster Sport1 noted that concrete negotiations were underway. Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg now reports that the 33-year-old himself fancies a move to the defending Bundesliga champs. FCB head-coach Thomas Tuchel is said to have done his part to convince the English international.

Walker remains under contract with the Sky Blues through the end of next season. As is customary when faced with expiring deals, Man City are not at all opposed to earning some cash off their player rather than lose him next summer on a free. The Sheffield-native maintains an estimated €15 million market worth in the latest transfermarkt listings. Bayern are generally thought to have well over €100 million set aside for summer transfers this year.
