Bayern Munich have been hit hard by injuries at the heart of their defense for tonight's DFB-Pokal match against 3. Liga side Preussen Münster.

As confirmed by the German champions, centre-backs Min-jae Kim (thigh), Dayot Upamecano (adductor) and Matthjis de Ligt (knee) are all unavailable.

In their absence, Leon Goretzka and Noussair Mazraoui are playing in central defense, Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel has revealed.

"Leon Goretzka and Noussair Mazraoui will play at centre-back. All other players will play in their usual positions," Tuchel said (via iMiaSanMia).

Due to an adductor injury, Thomas Müller has also been left out of the squad.
