Borussia Mönchengladbach will say goodbye to Josip Drmic when his contract runs out at the end of the month, the club's sporting director, Max Eberl, has confirmed.

"We have waited for a long, long time. Josip loves this club, I know that, and his performances helped us to reach Europe in the end. But we have decided not to extend his contract," Eberl told Sky.

The 26-year-old, who has reportedly attracted interest from Norwich City, was limited to just five appearances during the 2018/19 campaign, but scored two important goals towards the end of the season.

Gladbach paid €10 million to sign the striker from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015.
