Löw praises Flick's "impeccable qualifications" to be Germany's next Bundestrainer

Most German media sources couldn't help but delve into any potential source of disagreement between Hans Dieter Flick and Hasan Salihamdzic this week.

Such attention is to be suspected as the 56-tear-old FCB head-coach emerges as the front-runner to return to the DFB as the national team's next Bundestrainer.

For his part, outgoing national team head-coach Joachim Löw thinks his long-time colleague would be an excellent choice.
In an interview broadcast Saturday on state-television-station "Bayern 1", Jogi Löw had plenty of positive words for the man he worked alongside for eight long years. Löw and Hansi Flick have their history as well-established DFB men, working together between 2006 and 2014.

"I think we can all agree that Hansi has impeccable qualifications to lead top players," Löw noted in the interview, "His tactics and culture are very good. He's as conceivable as any of the other candidates being talked about. But, of course, it's not my decision. I remain neutral in that regard."

Told of Löw's comments, Flick acknowledged that the praise from his former boss "made him very happy", while stressing that "it doesn't change the current situation."

Löw spoke on other topics during the interview, including what he might hope to do after this summer's European Championship.

"The rocking chair? No, I don't think so," Löw said of retirement, "[football] still brings me too joy, and I still have a great amount of motivation."

All Löw ended up divulging about his post-EM plans concerned a sincere desire to improve his Spanish-speaking skills, possibly enlisting the help of a teacher.
