According to Sky Germany, the Portuguese midfielder is expected to report back to Bayern for pre-season after a move to Tottenham Hotspur - where he spent the 2025/26 season on loan - effectively fell through. Spurs are no longer pursuing Palhinha following the recent signings of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes.
A return to Sporting Lisbon is also proving difficult at this stage, with Bayern’s valuation of the midfielder reportedly considered too high.
Despite this, Palhinha’s long-term future in Munich remains uncertain. Several clubs are still monitoring his situation, and discussions with potential suitors are ongoing. The 30-year-old remains under contract with Bayern until 2028.
