As Kicker.de reports, Borussia Mönchengladbach's talks with Rouven Schröder are close to being concluded.

The signing of the 49-year-old, once sporting director for RB Leipzig, Schalke, Mainz, and Werder Bremen is getting close to completion.

Local newspaper ‘Salzburger Nachrichten’ has labeled it a “done deal" and “only a matter of time” before it's confirmed.

Schröder currently works as sporting director for RB Salzburg, so the Bundesliga club must pay a transfer fee to Austria.

According to previous Sport BILD reports, this fee is estimated to be around €1.5million for the experienced operator.

Meanwhile, Sky Germany believes a compensation fee of around €700,000 will be due and a deal expected later this week.
