After Paul Simonis was dismissed from VfL Wolfsburg, it now appears sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz could face a similar fate.

Schindzielorz, primarily responsible for the unbalanced squad, could see himself replaced soon so changes can be made in January.

Numerous names of potential successors are circulating, most of whom bring a wealth of Bundesliga experience.

These include Sven Mislintat and Jonas Boldt, who, according to Sport Bild, have expressed interest in the job at the Bundesliga club.

However, the Lower Saxony club is reportedly also interested in Borussia Dortmund's Sebastian Kehl and Christoph Freund of Bayern Munich.

Ultimately, it seems questionable whether Kehl or Freund would seriously consider a move to a club undergoing an extremely chaotic period.

Whether a new coach will be appointed before the new sporting director is appointed remains largely unclear.

This depends, among other things, on how the Lower Saxony club performs under new interim coach Daniel Bauer.
