The possibility of Keke Topp leaving Werder Bremen on loan is increasingly likely, according to a report from Sports BILD.

FC Schalke 04, whom Topp played for as a center forward between 2021 and 2024, are believed to be interested in him.

At Bremen, the German striker currently has little prospect of regular playing time in Horst Steffen's first team.

He has managed just 64 minutes in the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal, and yesterday he helped out in the 4-0 Regionalliga victory against VfB Lübeck.

“We currently have no intention of loaning him out in the winter,” says professional boss Peter Niemeyer – but that could change in the coming weeks.

If Topp continues to have little chance of playing behind Victor Boniface, Justin Njinmah and Marco Grüll amongst others, there's no route for him to develop.
