Borussia Mönchengladbach’s new head of sport, Rouven Schröder, could face a busy and tricky January transfer window.

The bottom-placed Bundesliga side clearly needs reinforcements after a disappointing start to the season.

However, the winter market offers far fewer opportunities than the summer one, and Gladbach have very little to spend.

To finance new signings, Die Fohlen could offload some of their out-of-favour players.

According to Rheinische Post, Jonas Omlin, Luca Netz and Marvin Friedrich could be on the way out.

Omlin is behind Moritz Nicolas in the pecking order and could seek more playing time elsewhere.

Netz and Friedrich are in the final year of their contracts, meaning this winter will likely be Gladbach’s last chance to generate transfer income from them.
