Romano Schmid’s agent, Mario Knez, has openly stated that his client could leave Werder Bremen at the end of the season.

“Romano feels very comfortable at Werder, you can see that every week. But of course, he also has the quality and potential to take the next step in the summer,” Knez told Sky Germany.

“What’s important is that he is taking everything calmly and is fully focused on his role at Werder.”

Schmid recently revealed his frustration over not securing the move he wanted last summer.

The Austrian international is under contract with Werder Bremen until 2027.
