SC Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu has been looking for a move away for some time now, but with the transfer window entering its final phase, a transfer has still not materialised for the 24-year-old.
According to Kicker, Atubolu has decided to part ways with his agency, Epic Sports, and will instead represent himself with the support of a lawyer experienced in professional football.
Atubolu's agency previously touted potential moves to Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Aston Villa, but the possibility of joining any of these clubs never materialised for the German goalkeeper, who has now reportedly “had enough”.
The most realistic destination for Atubolu currently appears to be Eintracht Frankfurt, who are said to be looking for a new first-choice goalkeeper.
However, it's been questioned whether Die Adler are able and willing to pay the €15 million fee demanded by Freiburg for the 24-year-old.
Bild now reports that, as an alternative solution, Atubolu could extend his contract with Freiburg until 2028 before joining Eintracht on loan with either an option or obligation to buy.
